Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) is a state owned power generation, transmission and utility organization in the state of Gujarat is engaged in the business of Electricity Generation, Distribution and Transmission within the state and out of it. As a part of Power Reform Process, Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB), the promoting body, has been un-bundled into separate seven Companies with functional responsibilities with complete autonomous operation with effect from 1st April, 2005.
With the present requirement for induction of Junior Assistants as Vidyut Sahayak in the MGVCL, through contractual mode of recruitment, it invites the applicants to apply for the job positions through ONLINE mode.
The details of the vacancies are as under:
Name of the Positions and Number of vacancies:
Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) – At Present there is no vacancies. But it is expected to be 120-150 vacancies for the year 2013-14
Nature of Posts:
The first three years of the post will be as Vidyut sahayak and will be on a fixed remuneration basis. After successful completion of 3 years of service, the candidates may be inducted as Junior Assistants in the respective grade of pay.

Pay scale and Remunerations:
1st Year: Rs.5500 per month
2nd year: Rs.6000 per month
3rd year: Rs.6500 per month
On successful completion of 3 years of service, the candidates may be appointed as Junior Assistant in the respective cadre in the Scale of Pay of Rs.9700-Rs.21710 and
Essential Eligibility:
Age:
The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 25 years of age as on 28-March-2013. However, upper age for reserved category of applicants will be relaxable as per norms.
Education as on 28-March-2013:
The applicant must be a Graduate Degree holder in any discipline with at least 55% (50% for SC, ST, OBC) marks and must have cleared the examination in the first attempt.
Knowledge of Gujarati language and Computer Operations is essential for candidates.
Selection Procedure:
The selection process involves Written Test and Interview.

For SC/ST candidates: Rs.250 + Rs.50 as bank charges
For others: Rs.500 + Rs.50 as bank charges
The fees can be paid through cash deposit challan at any branch of State Bank of India in the SBI Powerjyoti Account No. as specified on Challan. No other mode of payment will be accepted.
