The Indian Navy invites application from from unmarried eligible men & women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for course commencing June 2023 on wards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.
Extended Naval Orientation Course– General Service (Executive) [GS(X)]/ Hydrography
Naval Orientation Course (NOC) Regular– Air Traffic Controller/ Observer/ Pilot/ Logistics/ Education/ Technical (Engineering & Electrical)/ Naval Architect.
Merit lists would be prepared separately for Extended NOC and Regular NOC based on SSB marks.

Minimum Qualification Required:
Executive General Service/ Hydrography Cadre – The candidate must possess BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with minimum 60% of marks.
Air Traffic Controller/ Observer/ Pilot – The candidate must possess BE/B.Tech in any discipline from AICTE recognized institute / university with minimum 60% marks. (Candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and minimum 60% marks in English in class X or class XII).
Technical Engineering Branch (General Service): The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Marine/ Instrumentation/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Industrial Engineering & Management/ Control Engineering/ Aero Space/ Automobiles/ Metallurgy/ Mechatronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Electrical Branch (General Service): The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Power Engineering/ Control System Engineering/ Power Electronics/ Avionics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Naval Architecture: The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Civil/Aeronautical/Aerospace/Metallurgy/ Naval Architecture/ Ocean Engineering/ Marine Engineering/ Ship Technology/ Ship Building/ Ship Design with minimum 60% of marks.
Logistics Cadre- BE/B.Tech in any discipline or MBA or B.Sc / B.Com/ B.Sc.(IT) with first class and a PG Diploma in Finance/ Logistics/ Supply Chain Management/ Material Management or MCA/ M.Sc (IT). Candidates must possess minimum 60% marks.
Education Branch- M.Sc. Physics (with Maths in B.Sc.) or M.Sc. Maths (with Physics in B.Sc.) or M.Sc. Chemistry (with Physics in B.Sc.) or M.A. (English) (with Physics or Maths in Intermediate or equivalent standard) or M.A. (History); OR BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech in Mech/ Electrical/ Electronics. Candidates must possess minimum 60% marks.
Note:The candidates in the final year of Engineering can also apply.
Physical Standards: The candidates must possess the minimum specified Physical standard in order to get qualified for these Executive Branches of Short Service Commission. There will be no relaxation in the base defined medical/physical standards.
Training: The training is scheduled to commence in July 2023.
Tenure of Commission- Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission initially for 10 years extendable by maximum 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02 years), subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of candidates.
Probation Period– Probation period for officers of all branches/ cadres is two years. The probation period will commence from the date of grant of the rank of Sub Lt /Ag Lt and will terminate after two years or on completion of initial training.
Mode of Selection: The candidates will be selected on the basis of SSB interview.
