Combined Defence Services (CDS) are held twice a year to recruit young candidates in officer’s grade. Recruitment is done for Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy. CDS exam is initially conducted by UPSC while its detailed procedures are carried by concerned service selection boards. Thousands of aspirants take this exam every year. Graduates from all streams can apply for defence services except for Air Force where Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.
Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II) 2016
The Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2016 at different venues located at 41 Centres throughout the country on 23.10.2016 (Sunday). The e‐Admit Cards for the candidates have been uploaded on the UPSC Website //www.upsc.gov.in

CDS Exam admit cards will be only accessible online. No admission certificate shall be sent through any other medium.
CDS Exam Admit Card will be available for download on UPSC official website prior three weeks of examination. Those who have applied for entrance exams of UPSC are required to download it on time.
In order to download e – admit card or e – admission certificate regarding particular examination candidate must possess some information. There are various parameters like Roll number, date of birth, registration ID or father’s name that have to be produced while downloading admit card.
Any difficulty faced during download of e – admit card shall be handled by UPSC facilitation centre. If in case a candidate does not get his admit card, he must report it to concerned authorities as soon as possible. Regular visit to UPSC portal shall keep you updated.
